The Account Manager is focused strategically developing new business, while at the same time having responsibility for the tactical operations related to the support of the business. This is a leadership position within the organization
The Account Manager will be required to sell company’s products and services, and recruit sales and operations personnel
The Account Manager will utilize tools to make contact with prospective, current and former clients to identify business opportunities for the company’s products and services
Required Skills
Must have 5+ years of Transportation/Logistics sales experience; Experience selling LTL, TL
Grow and maintain revenues to an agreed upon sales budget
Identify and purchase transportation capacity to meet customer demand
Manage branch receivables, keeping them within the corporate standard
Experience in truckload brokerage, specializing in transportation of perishable commodities (especially fruits & vegetables)
